Sliding worktop

In October 2009, visitors to the Ludwigsburg castle were able to admire specially designed journeyman pieces from all over Baden-Wuerttemberg for a week. The furniture displayed a youthful and vibrant diversity of form, color and use with high outstanding craftsmanship. These works had enabled the young carpenters to pass the final examination that year with flying colors.

The 1st prize went to Simon Claus. His writing desk stole the show with an appealing color and material selection as well as with refined details. The solid, L-shaped cherry wood worktop can be moved on glide rails, thus enlarging the work space. The dark-gray linoleum endows a noble touch to the cherry wood.
