La sede centrale di igus si trova a Colonia, in Germania.

Sin dalla sua fondazione nel 1964, igus SE & Co. KG ha sempre avuto sede nell'area di Colonia. Partendo dal garage doppio di Colonia-Mülheim, l'azienda si è poi trasferita a Bergisch Gladbach nel 1977 e nel 1994 negli headquarter di Colonia-Lind che occupa ancora oggi.

The flexible igus factory

Prior to the move to the current location of the company headquarters, a new factory had to be built. One requirement for this was that it should be as flexible as possible to ensure future growth and possible changes. igus Founder Günter Blase commissioned the well-known British architect Nicholas Grimshaw with the project.
