Perfect protection

Pontoon

The service boats of a wind farm operator are prepared for use at this pontoon in Barrow-in-Furness, Great Britain. For this purpose, diesel lines as well as hoses and cables for Lenz pumps are routed from the land onto the pontoon. A 20 metre e-chain® from the 1640 series from igus was used to protect these reliably from damage in this rough environment. This even routes the 100 millimetre thick fuel lines safely to where they are required, and is completely insensitive to salty air and rough sea.
